Mike Wilson
Mike Wilson, founder of IceSense, began his hockey journey as a youth player in Virginia, where he quickly fell in love with the game. Despite growing up in a non-traditional hockey market, his passion and drive opened doors to higher levels of competition. He progressed to playing AAA Tier 1 Elite, and eventually moved on to junior hockey in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he served as captain and was named an All-Conference player.

Mike carried that leadership and competitive mindset into college, where he was an over point-per-game player, a testament to both his hockey IQ and ability to make an impact every time he hit the ice. His performance and presence off the ice earned him the 2025 Matty Hier Award, given to the player who exemplifies the highest quality of a great teammate, on and off the ice.
He continued his journey by earning a PTO with the Worcester Railers in the ECHL, followed by professional play in the SPHL for the Quad City Storm and the Fayetteville Marksmen. Throughout his career, Mike competed alongside elite-level talent including WHL, USHL, NCAA Division I players, and NHL Draft Picks — experiences that shaped both his skillset and his perspective on what true development looks like.

Off the ice, Mike has built a strong coaching résumé. He’s contributed to numerous hockey camps, served as a video and skills coach at Worcester State University, and worked closely with the skill development coach at Dexter Southfield with Max Pro Hockey Club , deepening his knowledge of player growth from all angles.

With years of experience on and off the ice, I’ve learned that real development isn’t just about reps—it’s about purpose. I work with players to build confidence, sharpen instincts, and train with intention, so they can play smarter, faster, and more effectively at any level.
